20 photos- theme

For my theme I have chosen nature. I seem to enjoy taking pictures and get a better quality and experience out of it.

Weekly Vocab- 12/16-20

Fill flash- is a photographic technique used to brighten deep shadow areas, typically outdoors on sunny days.




Documentary photography- usually refers to a popular form of photography used to chronicle significant and historical events.




magnesium flare- A flare using magnesium as the illuminating agent.

Sepia toning -  is a specialized treatment to give a black-and-white photographic print a warmer tone and to enhance its archival qualities.


  Selenium Toning -  is commonly used to treat photographic prints in order to intensify the blacks, subtly shift the color toward a reddish tint.




Duotone- is a halftone reproduction of an image using the superimposition of one contrasting colour halftone (traditionally black) over another color halftone

       flash lamp- A flash is a device used in photography producing a flash of artificial light


Arc Lamp Photography- focuses on capturing life and the people living it.


A Yablochkov candle- (sometimes electric candle) is a type of electric carbon arc lamp


The triptych form arises from early Christian art, and was a popular standard format for altar paintings from the Middle Ages onwards.
